History and Future The history of the SkyCar dates back to 1983 when the Moller Aircraft Company started to work on an affordable personal transportation vehicle.  Moller International is developing a vertical take-off and landing personal commuter aircraft employing ducted fans, automatic stabilization and electronic controls.

The company also produces unmanned aerial vehicles, both electronic- and fuel-powered, capable of vertical take-off and landing. The manned aircraft and some unmanned vehicles are powered by the company’s high performance rotary engines. Will the SkyCar turn out to be an alternative to the autocar or will it be a substitute of our autocar ?
